Invention Technique Example

Image
This is an invention technique I used while writing the academic success proposal. It's basically just an outline of all the main points I try to hit with every essay but especially with the success proposal. It helped me stay organized and focused on the most important parts of the essay to me.

Feedback Example

Image
This is the feedback that I received on how to properly cite my sources in the correct format on the first major assignment of the semester and I used that feedback to properly cite my sources in each of the major assignments after.  I also got feedback on my grammar and mechanics in the first major assignments where I didn't do everything quite right but by the short story project, I used that feedback to make everything perfect.

Final Reflection

This is the final reflection going over basically everything we did over the semester. In this essay I talk about each of the three major assignments of the semester, what new skills learned in the class, the strengths and weaknesses I had while doing the class, and the overall benefit I got from the class. Final Reflection Our first major assignment for the semester was writing an academic success proposal. My topic was over the struggles of being a full-time worker and taking college classes online. My thesis statement for this assignment was that, in my opinion the simplest way to balance my busy schedule with my academic needs is to plan far into the future and stick to a consistent schedule with the use of planners, calendars, and any other tools that allow me to build my schedule.  This is the final major assignment of the semester we had to complete. It is creating a book jacket for the short story that we chose and writing a summary, providing quotes for the story, and writing a short biography of the author.

Annotated Bibliography Final Draft

This is the final draft of my annotated bibliography. For this assignment, I found 8 sources for the short story I chose to write about and gave a brief description of each source. Nathan Humphrey Professor Nall English Comp 2 12 March 2024 Annotated Bibliography Baraban, Elena V. “The Motive for Murder in ‘The Cask of Amontillado’ by Edgar Allan Poe.” Rocky Mountain Review of Language and Literature , vol. 58, no. 2, 2004, pp. 47–62. JSTOR , https://doi.org/10.2307/1566552. Accessed 12 Mar. 2024. This journal interprets Edgar Allen Poe’s story, “The Cask of Amontillado”. The stance the author takes is that the social and class status of the characters lies at the heart of the conflict of the story. I know this source is credible because it comes from a scholarly peer reviewed journal. This source could be used to help explain the deeper meanings of the main conflict of the story. Cody, David. Academic Success Proposal Final Draft

This is the final draft of the first major assignment of the semester. This essay is an explanation of the struggles of being a fulltime worker and student and some of the possible solutions to that. Nathan Humphrey Ms. Nall English Comp 2 10 February 2024                                       The Struggle of a Working Student’s Schedule In our academic landscape road bumps and struggles are not just a possibility but an expectation. Whether it be high school, an in-person university or an online class, everyone will face some kind of setback that goes against their academic success. One of my biggest struggles recently through taking online classes is trying to balance my adult schedule of working a full-time job, exercising consistently, and making sure I’m caught up with all of my classes ...
